Pino's Pizza - Appomattox

Food is good. Be specific on your order or you may not get everything you are suppose too, like tomatoes or cucumbers in a salad, etc. They do not bring you a check, so you can not look over your bill ahead of time for accuracy. Be careful and watch when they ring it up. They are famous for overcharging people!

I've been a regular at Pinos for years, and I've always been satisfied with the food and service. However, tonight was a different story. They refused to remove an order of fries from my bill that I didn't order, so I let them know I wouldn't be coming back. It’s not really about the money for me; I’m a man of principle. It seems much more cost-effective for them to take off an order of fries than to lose a loyal customer of over four years. This is their loss, not mine.

Pinos used to be excellent, but I'm not sure what has happened. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt on three separate occasions. Unfortunately, the pizza I received was cold, with undercooked and insufficient toppings. They also skimped on the cheese. The cheesesteaks, which I once enjoyed, were disappointing—more bread than meat. I also ordered a pasta dish that was cold and unappetizing. When I went to settle the bill, they showed little interest in making things right, instead defending themselves by saying that everyone else seems to like the food and they received no complaints that night. I've decided not to return for a fourth visit; I'm done. If you're looking for a great meal, I recommend you avoid Pinos, as it will likely disappoint!

My wife and I visited Pino's in Appo recently, and we were quite disappointed. I ordered the wings and chicken cordon bleu, while my wife chose the cheese fries. Unfortunately, the wings were tough and lacking flavor, and the chicken in the cordon bleu was a small, overcooked strip that was chewy. As for the cheese fries, the cheese was just a big glob of greasy, waxy substance. The food was practically inedible. When we brought our concerns up while paying, they didn’t even offer to adjust the bill. If you're considering dining there, I strongly recommend you reconsider. It was a complete waste of time and money!
