Gecko - Arambol

This restaurant on Arambol beach is a great place to visit. The kingfish tandoori and prawn tandoori are especially delicious, as well as the Goan curry. The prices are very affordable so you can enjoy drinks, food and life.

Gecko was the only restaurant I went to twice on a 4 day trip. Most restaurants on the beach serve the same fare and offer similar rates, but I found Gecko staff to be more friendly and helpful. Their sea food preparations in tandoor style are very decent but needs a bit of bargaining before buying. They're open until later than most other shacks and continue to serve chilled beers until midnight at-least (during off peak season). As with all other shacks, always ask the price of beers and off-menu items!

A place on the beach we went back to more than once . Good food and drink under candlelight at a reasonable price . You’ll get excellent service if you bump into Mandeep .. but try to avoid the others .. they’re particularly idle and are rarely keen to trundle back and forth from the kitchen .

We had dinner at this place but the waiter was acting very intelligent as if doing us a favour by serving at our table. The food lacked any taste n flavour. Steaks not tried

We were going to explore other places to eat but kept coming back here. I still have cravings for their seafood biryani.
