Menya Hanabi - Arcadia

Having lived in Japan as a child, I'm no stranger to its cuisine. However, the dish I encountered here was entirely new to me. I opted for The Original bowl, wanting something lighter, and I initially thought I'd be left wanting more, wishing I had chosen the Deluxe option. To my surprise, I was completely satisfied! The noodles were so delicious that I couldn't help but devour them in no time. If you know Japanese food but haven't experienced this particular style of noodles, make sure to visit this place first—it's definitely going to become my go-to spot.

This restaurant is fantastic! The food is incredibly delicious! I've never tried this type of noodles before, and I regret not discovering it earlier. It was simply amazing! They even offer a small bowl of rice to help you savor the leftover sauce, meat, and garnishes in your bowl.

Excellent service, delicious food, and very satisfying! We visited on a Wednesday evening and were seated immediately. They provide complimentary white rice towards the end of your meal, which is a traditional Japanese custom. I really appreciate that they maintain and honor that culture here in the USA.

In my opinion, the deluxe bowl had a bit too much protein due to the richness of the sauce and the egg yolk—comprising a poached egg, soft-boiled egg, char siu pork, and Taiwanese meat sauce—so I preferred the original version, which features just the poached egg and meat sauce. Additionally, I believe adding vinegar is essential to balance out the rich flavors; otherwise, it can taste a bit one-dimensional. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience!
