Írjon visszajelzéstMy family and I had a fantastic time at The Barn. The title of the restaurant suggests that it is almost a five-star establishment, and I must agree. Our group ordered steak, duck, Mac n' cheese, and pollock in a bouillabaisse, followed by a selection of desserts. All of the dishes were delicious, although I felt that the pollock could have used some bread or potatoes to accompany it (which prevented me from giving it a perfect five-star rating). The restaurant also offered a well-maintained selection of local ale and a decent wine list for its size. The desserts were particularly generous and satisfying. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. My only small suggestion would be for the restaurant to provide steak knives. I highly recommend visiting The Barn if you find yourself in the Oban area. Arriving early and taking a walk down to the Loch side is also a recommended activity.
Due to our need for a quiet meal for medical reasons, we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves entering a pub full of friendly and helpful people at 6 pm on a Thursday. Although it was a bit disorienting initially, we soon discovered that this pub is extremely popular with the locals, and it's easy to see why. I remember when all Scottish pubs were like this. We were seated in the interesting and quirky verandah section, which was much quieter. The food was of a very high standard, and the service was prompt, efficient, and friendly. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We give top marks to the Barn and would happily return anytime.
Went here yesterday for dinner. Food delicious. Good size portions if you like your food as i do. Staff lovely especially the lady who served us. Didnt get her name. Will defo go back
On a sunny day, there is nothing better than dining outdoors in the spacious grassy rural setting of this restaurant. However, if you prefer indoor seating, that option is available as well. Despite its close proximity to our home, dining here feels like a vacation. The menu offers a wide variety of choices, including a great children's menu. The beer selection from Fyne Ales is outstanding. There is a small play area for children that has recently been upgraded. The prices are very reasonable. Our grandchildren adore this place and always choose it for lunch outings. Unfortunately, it is only open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The Barn has done a great job. It is advisable to make reservations, but it is typically not too crowded at lunchtime, so you won't feel like you are fighting for space. There are also nice walking paths nearby.
The Barn Bar managed to fit my family in at late notice. The food was fantastic. Portion sizes very generous. Would recommend well worth the trip. Owner and staff fantastic
