I stayed at this restaurant about 12 months ago for 3 nights. The owners, Marion and Ian, were absolutely fantastic, as were all the employees. The room was clean, beautiful, and comfortable with a view of the harbor. The dining experience in the restaurant and breakfast room was excellent (you will not leave hungry). I plan on returning, even though the journey from Merseyside is not for the faint-hearted. Overall, it was a wonderful short break and I would recommend anyone visiting Islay to check out this hotel.

I recently visited this restaurant twice during my trip because the burgers were delicious. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. It was convenient to just ring the bell when entering.

We have recently stopped at the askaig hotel, old port bar, before we return the ferry to the mainland. the selection of whiskys is quite incredible, and it was a great chance to try some rarer drams in a time when the destilleries they produce were not open to visitors. marion, the manned, was a writing from Islay knowledge and an absolute joy to speak. we look forward to your visit!
