Heritage Brewpub - Arlington

Easy and fun local spot with great beers to select from and yummy roasted chicken and apps to share!

Great find. Parking is a hassle in Clarendon, but if you are up for a couple block's walk. Well worth your time. Beer selection is large but not overwhelming. Staff is knowledgeable and food is great. Make a reservation as the space is limited.

This is my third visit to Heritage Brewpub and every single item I have ordered has been outstanding. The avocado toast on dark Irish soda bread is a great starter, though the Brat (with a hefty bed of delicious sauerkraut and bread) is a close second. For entrees, the Shepherd's pie, trout, and chicken are all outstanding. If you're hungry, definitely get the half-chicken which also comes with two sides (I recommend the brussel sprouts and the mac and cheese). The draft beer list is outstanding, particularly their own beers, but the cocktail list is really interesting, too, and made by bartenders who will give you friendly advice. The restaurant can be noisy due to the limited size, but it's worth having to speak up a bit to enjoy outstanding food served by superlative staff.
