Weisshorngipfel - Arosa

We enjoyed our time on Weisshorn very much. it takes 2 gondola rides to come up here (unless walking). The views are simply gorgeous. The restaurant is quite large with a 360 view, staff were friendly.

Came up to check out the 360 view, wow. The menu seemed a bit more gourmet than most mountain restaurants and the food was good, there is no self service here. We had the pork schnitzel wrapped in bacon with french fries with an odd mushroom sauce, which let the dish down.

Very nice restaurant and good service but the main draw here is of course the stunning mountain views. The food itself was just ok, nothing spectacular. Nice place to spend an hour relaxing.

Come for the view, stay for the food! We lucked into a crystal clear spring day, and apparently one where the staff was in a good mood. Service was fine and the food and wine excellent. Venison sausage and Swiss white wine. It was was fun being around a couple of big groups of skiers, obviously having a great time at the end of the season. We took the halfway back winter walk down and it was just spectacular. This was all well worth the time and trip up on the train from Chur for a wonderful day.

I tried once again my luck after the terrible experience last time. Unfortunately no luck again and I believe I will not return to see if things have improved. First of all the atmosphere of this place is completely out of tune, you feel you are in the airport lounge of a large city, for example Dubai. Secondly - the staff was unbelieveable incompetent and rude, when I ordered my latte and a gipfeli I had to wait for at least 20 minutes. With 4 other guests in the whole restaurant and at least 3 or 4 staff. When I politely enquired about it, the waiter replied very irritated it was coming soon. I honestly can see that i asked very friendly. When i tried to pay i was referred again to another staff member - who was not around - and we had to wait again, whilst the other staff members where just idling and hanging around. The coffee was standard, nothing special and the gipeli was ok. The place is definitely in my view managed by incompetent and people who are not interested. Will not go again
