Borromeo Antico Ristorante - Ascona

Very tasty eating, friendly and safe we will be back. after all the seafood we have eaten in sardinia and now go to home, we decide to take a break in locarno and choose this restaurant, it was delicious and safe again. back!

It was pouring with rain so having just arrived in Ascona we dived into the first restaurant we came across. What a lucky find! Waiting staff were friendly and helpful. I chose the venison ravioli and my partner one of the day's specials namely fried...fish from the lake. We both rated the food very highly. Prices were good too.

Bereits die Reservation vor Ort als auch die Begrüssung 2 Tage später war sehr freundlich.Wir haben einen wunderschönen Abend an einem ruhigen 2-er Tischchen geniessen können.Wir empfehlen als Vorspeise das Rinds-Tartar und als Hauptspeise das Ossobuco oder den Rindsschmorbraten, beides mit Parmesan-Risotto.Borromeo ist seit Jahren ein sicherer Wert in Ascona und sein Gärtchen einfach top.

Again and again. Always great. A must for a holiday in Ticino

The garden in the inner courtyard is wonderfully quiet and very large. The food was very good and the service was nice. What I was missing, however, was that there were no local beers, only Appenzeller. Ticino has so many local smaller breweries!!!! That's why we only chose water. Hope there are at least 1-2 local varieties on the next visit.
