828 Family Pizzeria - Asheville

Great NY-style pizza! This is the best I've had in Asheville—reminds me of my favorite pizza back in New York City. I ordered it with mushrooms, green peppers, and Italian sausage, and it was delicious. The prices are reasonable too. I just wish they offered delivery!

Listen, I’m from Jersey, so I won’t settle for mediocre pizza. 828 Pizzeria is the closest thing to an authentic pie that I’ve had since moving here six years ago from Jersey. I highly recommend 828 Pizzeria if you want to enjoy amazing pizza with beer! Also, make sure to try their calamari.

Fantastic food and excellent service! My brother had been raving about this place, so I finally decided to give it a try, and it surpassed all the local pizza spots. The pizza is amazing, but the pasta and garlic bread are delicious as well!

If you're in search of genuine NYC pizza, 828 is the place to go. Although they offer a complete Italian menu, their pizza stands out (unlike Vinnie's). Personally, I often choose grilled kale and eggplant as my toppings, but when I bring my grandkids along, we all enjoy their cheese pizza. It's cooked to perfection and generously topped with dollops of sauce over the cheese!
