Írjon visszajelzéstThis Vietnamese restaurant in Western North Carolina is one of the most authentic we have tried. Our favorite dishes include the chicken wings, banh mi, and house special pho. The food is worth the wait, so be prepared for a bit of a wait when they are busy. The service is great for dine-in customers.
I had Wild Ginger on my list of saved places and finally decided to try it after visiting Lee's Asian market. I am a fan of Pho, and I have noticed that many Pho restaurants in Western North Carolina serve a broth that is on the sweeter side, perhaps to cater to the local palate. However, Wild Ginger does not follow this trend. Their Pho is delicious, nutritious, and reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning. The service for dining in was also excellent.
Last night, we decided to dine at this restaurant based on its impressive 4.6 rating on Google. The establishment is quite popular and the tables are closely positioned. My wife's stepmom is Vietnamese, and she has two half-sisters, so we are no strangers to Vietnamese cuisine. I opted for the E1 - Vermicelli Rice Noodle Salad with pickled vegetables, lettuce, herbs, cucumber, bean sprouts, crispy shallots, peanuts, an eggroll, and Nuoc Cham. My wife chose the E3 - Yakisoba Noodles: stir-fried noodles with carrots, onions, cabbage, sprouts, pickled ginger, and Yakisoba sauce. While I finished my meal, my wife only managed to eat about a third of hers, and she didn't want to take the leftovers home. I must admit, my usual go-to dish, the Vermicelli Rice Noodle Salad, was disappointing as it was overly oily. This dish is something I usually enjoy at every Vietnamese restaurant I visit. My wife found her noodle dish to be too heavy for her liking. We both chose chicken as the protein for our meals, and it was served generously. After our meal, I spoke with the owner and mentioned that my dish was good but too oily. He simply chuckled in response.
It wasalright. We came cause I’ve been craving salt and pepper squid, but the service was sporadic and we were delivered the wrong thing twice, and had to ask for a spoon and add-in plate for the pho. Food was /good/ but not award-winning in my mind. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
