Wagamama - Ashford

I always enjoy dining at wagamama. I had a great meal there, including the tofu raisukeree and the vegan chicken bao buns.

I went for a late lunch and was able to easily get a table. Unfortunately, most of the vegan options were marked with pen or permanent marker, indicating that they were not available. I ended up ordering a few dishes that were still available and enjoyed my meal.

Wagamama is one of the best chains for vegan options, and this location lives up to the brand's reputation with speedy service, flavorful food, and a modern, clean interior. Breaking from my usual order of vegatsu (which I highly recommend), I tried the tofu raisukaree - a coconut curry with tofu, mange tout, and peppers served with lime and rice. While tasty and fresh, I found myself missing my beloved vegatsu. The dessert menu has expanded significantly since my last visit, with several vegan options such as banana katsu with caramel sauce, a chocolate torte, and various ice cream and sorbet choices. Unfortunately, I was too full this time but I will definitely be trying them on my next visit.
