Írjon visszajelzéstPyramid is behind a book store in Aspen, so can be hard to find. In fact, we went in through the book store, but exited in the back as the book store closed before we finished our meal. It seemed to us that so many restaurants in Aspen seem to have focused on Asian food. Pyramid was along those lines. We began with the vegetarian pot stickers, which come recommended by many on Yelp. They were ok, but I would not order them on a return visit as they did not have much flavor, but no doubt were the healthiest pot stickers we have had. Our wine choices were the Malbec and the Chardonnay. Both were pretty good and reasonably priced. The chicken stir fry was kind of bland and the chicken was dry from overcooking. The duck was very good and recommended, although a bit tough. The best part of the evening was the dessert. A somehow reasonably healthy cobbler that maintained a great taste. Service was attentive and friendly. Our water was consistently refilled without requesting and the waiters worked very well together in coordinating taking care of us.
This little restaurant is tucked away above a bookstore. It's hard to find if you're not actually looking for it-but that's what makes this spot a hidden gem. I came here for an early dinner before heading further towards Carbondale. Like much of the rest of Aspen, the prices of everything are inflated, including food. I love that all the food here is super healthy though. I ordered the Lemongrass Tofu. Suffice to say, as healthy as the food is, the food is a bit bland. I think they can improve this dish significantly by marinating the tofu first, then perhaps air-frying the tofu to give it some more crisp/texture. The portion was quite fair, definitely enough for one person. Their redeeming factor was the kale pesto sauce that came with the complimentary bread! (Oh! They also have gluten free toast! I was very happy about this. The ambiance is certainly very quaint and sweet. It's nice and quiet-I think perfect for a date. I would likely return and perhaps try a different entrée next time.
Don 't order takeout from here. Slow, terrible service, and dishonest billing practices. We really wanted to like this place. It 's super cute and the menu looked good. We came before 6 one evening with a crying baby and ordered take out as we were in a rush. It took someone 10 minutes to come over and take our order and it took another 45 minutes before our food was ready. It shouldn 't take nearly an hour for a to go order for three people. While we waited, we were ignored, despite our crying baby. We asked for water for the baby and it took ten minutes for them to bring it. We had to flag down five or six waiters to check on our order 's status... finally someone said but of course, the duck takes at least half an hour to cook. Would have been nice to know in advance. It also would have been nice for someone to offer us water or bread while we waited so long. But what was most frustrating was a hidden 15% charge that was tacked onto our bill. The menu said something about a service fee for parties of 5 or more, but nowhere did they say there was a mandatory 15% on a party of 3. Now I 'm usually a generous tipper, even on takeout, but it would have been nice to be told of this mandatory fee in advance. Furthermore, the waitress didn 't say anything about this fee when she handed us the bill so I almost tipped in addition. Not cool! We paid a lot of money and waited a long time For our food. This was some of the worst service we have encountered in a long time and the sneaky and mandatory 15% fee made me further regret we chose to order takeaway from here. There are so many other great choices in Aspen where the servers actually pay attention to you and show they value your business. I recommend finding somewhere else.
A nice healthy alternative to the usual downtown restaurants! And a good beer selection as well!! Entryway around back is a little quirky, but we'll worth the stop. My waiter Laura was awesome!!
Delicious and healthy food options in Aspen! We ate here twice during our stay in the area. We had corn soup, gnocchi (without cheese to make it vegan), Asian noodle salad with lemongrass tofu, avocado chocolate mousse, peach and berry cobbler, and raspberry sorbet. Lots of vegan options and gluten-free options are also clearly marked on the menu.
