I’ve been waiting this day for 9 years! I used to come for breaching in my childhood, and after such a long time I came back to PY, and they fish soup still remains that childhood flavor and taste! Fish soup is a must try dish, you won’t be disappointed, fish with abundant of cheese, potato mash, and Paraguay seasoning. Creamy, aromatic! If you want, you can add some lemon juice inside that defiantly enrich the flavor! Also a dash of spicy sauce for those spice lovers!

Lido Bar is a staple restaurant that has been serving downtown Asunción since 1953. This is not a fancy restaurant by any means but rather focuses on casual dining for Paraguayan cuisine. The restaurant is often crammed with people due to its popularity and wait times can be on the long side but in my opinion is well worth it. I highly suggest to sit inside near the order area just to get a glimpse of the the hectic yet charming way staff operates to order and prepare food (kitchen is in the second floor so staff in the first floor yell orders to the cooks upstairs).
