'My Local '. Need a spot to stop and meet in town... this is the one!
The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and stylish decor, however, the food lacks passion which is disappointing given its potential. The Caesar salad was unimpressive, but the breakfast sandwich stood out with a fried egg in the top slice of bread, making it unique. The avocado sauce added a nice kick with its spiciness.
There is only one vegan option on the menu, which is a burger. Since it was breakfast time, I decided to go with the smashed avocado. I requested to make it vegan by removing the feta and adding mushrooms, which the restaurant was happy to accommodate. I was a bit disappointed to find out that I was charged full price for the meal, along with an additional $4 for the mushrooms. The toast also had butter on it, which was not vegan. The food itself was mediocre, with unseasoned mushrooms. I would suggest going to the nearby IGA, which has a good selection of vegan products to make your own breakfast.
They only have a menu item that is vegan, which is a burger. because it was early, I decided for the smashed avo, I told them I wanted to make it vegan and asked them to remove the feta and mushroom that they like to do. I had hoped that because I removed the feta that they might not charge extra for the mushrooms, but I was charged the full price for the meal plus the additional $4 for the mushrooms. good enough. Unfortunately, when it came out, the toast butter had on it. the food itself was nothing special; the mushrooms were unavoidable. I would recommend to visit the iga to the corner as it is good with vegan products on stock and make their own breakfast. updated by previous review on 2021-06-06
