Had some adult drinks on the back when visiting Krog Street. What an amazing beer selection! Try a mole porter here in Atlanta!
I went to buy wine from retail; and I was satisfied! Many selections, and the man who spoke to me, was quite knowledgeable about the wine I was interested in, wine from the Basque country, especially white wine. Have not tried yet, but I think it will be great!
This location is in Krog Street Market and I love that you can take your drink throughout the market. It is near the restrooms as well which make it convenient to camp out there. The menu is on TV screens and do scroll, so that made it tough to look at it comprehensively. That is because there were tons of beer options on tap, along with wine and cocktails (not on tap).We ordered at the bar although there is some table seating and an entire shop where you can buy cans and bottles to take home. It was strange that there is so much seating because most of the other shops at Krog don't have any seating. There was no line on a Saturday and Our bartender was friendly and had us on our way in no time.
No stars from me. Came into town on Friday, November 11 to celebrate my sister 's birthday and we (4 women) decided to stop here first. We stood by the bar for a good 7 mins while the bartender (skinny male with beard) was talking away, tried to get his attention and he finally saw us. He asked us if we were siting or just ordering, we told him we were ordering so we can walk around, he proceeds to tell us to move 3 steps over to place order, so we did. My sister went first and he said he needed all of our ID 's which we had ready, when he looked at my sister 's ID he said, you have a birthday coming up. She shockingly said yes I do and the bartender said to her why do you look shocked and she said I 'm impressed because most bartenders do not even notice the date most of the time. He looked at us and said: You know what I 'm not serving you all , we thought he was joking and we laughed and he continued to say You have insulted me, so you all can go, I 'm not serving you and I 'm not taking your money . We still did not understand how he was insulted. Too bad for him he missed out on a good amount of alcohol sales and a big tip. I think he should reconsider working in the service industry. I 've worked at a bar and it didn 't matter what people said as long as they were buying and tipping. I still wished I could have tried the wine...
