Village Inn - Aurora

This was our first visit, and we really enjoyed the diner atmosphere—it’s clear the locals love this place! We arrived after lunch, and since breakfast is served all day, it was a perfect option for us. My partner had his favorite, fish and chips, while I opted for a fresh spinach and speck omelette topped with Swiss cheese and extra cheese sauce. It’s a fantastic spot for breakfast! Our waiter was wonderful, although he forgot to ask if we wanted dessert and instead handed us our to-go bags. But that didn't matter because we ended up getting French silk cake, and it was absolutely divine!

After placing three online orders, I've consistently received the wrong items. I decided to eat in the restaurant instead, but they still missed several items from my order. Everything was overcooked, with some dishes coming out burnt and others arriving hard-boiled when they should have been medium. Additionally, they forgot to include syrup for the pancakes and waffles. I would recommend dining elsewhere until they improve their quality control.

The service was very slow today, which is unusual. The food was just okay; I had breakfast and the scrambled eggs were overcooked, while the hash was undercooked and lacked flavor. There seemed to be no effort put into delivering a decent meal.

I had a late breakfast here and was quite disappointed. I sent the order for the pick-up, and that I ordered had no eggs I ordered. eating was okay, but it's hardly above the almost food grade.

There was only one server. He did the best he could. My food didn't taste right. Too salty. The hashbrowns were weird and my eggs were cooked wrong. I think it may have been an off day for them. But was disappointed and probably won't be back for a while.
