Cafe Blue - Austell

Ok this is my 4th time eating here and I’m finally leaving my 5 star review. So I never leave a review based upon one experience at restaurants I always try to visit a few times to see if there is a consistency in food appearance, taste, and service. I like to be accurate with my reviews. Cafe Blue is 5 stars for me! It’s quite the hidden Gem as I don’t know if all of people know it’s here because I’ve lived in this area for a long time and don’t even know it was here. Anyways the food is sooooooo good! The pancakes are literally perfect! The fried catfish and grits are the bomb! The owner is very friendly and she also has a son who works there who is very pleasant and a great server! I enjoy every single time that I come! I have been here four times and can’t wait to bring my group of sisters and friends to eat here! I definitely am and will continue to be a returning customer!

Came here yesterday afternoon and was not disappointed! We were the only people in there for a while and closed it down, lol. The food was delicious, I was so full! We ordered the pancakes, eggs, Flounder and grits, and the owner even made a special for me, lol Salmon and grits… I thank you! Last but not least, we had the mimosas and we settled for the bottle with the different flavors. The music and ambiance was great! I definitely will be coming back, as the pancakes were my favorites and reminded me of my grandmother!

For $50 you would think my salmon would not come burnt and overcooked as well as my salad in a bowl, not a plate, and already dressed... shrimp was over cooked for the shrimp and rice bowl, but the rice was perfect… The mimosa flight was good wish it had more flavor to it. All I did was taste champagne in all three flavors. The woman who was running it today was by herself, and we were the only people in the restaurant. She kept taking phone calls instead of paying attention to her cooking… And also looking back into the kitchen from the counter it's filthy.

I am so happy I tried this restaurant! It is a little on the small side, not ideal for large groups, but perfect for a date or small gathering. It was the perfect place to meet up with a girlfriend for brunch. We ordered the Mimosa board and it was delicious. I ordered the fish and grits and it was absolutely divine. Seriously, it's in the top 3 best fish and grits I've ever had!!! My friend ordered the breakfast plate amd pancakes, which she really enjoyed as well. The atmosphere was a vibe. The only negative was the plastic ware to eat with, as it is hard to cut up the pancakes and sausage with, but won't stop me from returning! I just might bring my own fork and knife ?. Thanks for the great meal!

Food and Service AMAZING!!! I had a strawberry mimosa, pancakes and shrimp and grits. My husband had the chicken and waffles. We both loved EVERYTHING!!! A must try restaurant… and I am a picky eater, so believe me when I say just go!!! ?Kid-friendliness: No high chairs but my son was able to sit in the booth
