Azul Tequila - Austin

I generally really enjoy this restaurant, but on my most recent visit, the chicken in my chicken mole was so rubbery that I couldn't eat it. Despite this issue, I'm giving it four stars for food because it's usually excellent. The chips are fantastic, and the salsa is delicious. The service is consistently pleasant, and they often have live music, which is a nice touch.

The food was fantastic, and the margaritas were excellent. I can't wait to return to the new location!

Authentic interior Mexican dishes that are hard to find anywhere in Austin. For instance, the albóndigas are excellent!

The Good: The service was fantastic. We were greeted promptly by what appeared to be the only waiter, who also doubled as the host. Despite not being busy, he managed to cover around 10 tables efficiently. His effort was commendable and the only positive aspect of our experience. Otherwise, this would have been a one-star review. The Bad: The food was terrible. I ordered a steak quesadilla, and my wife had cheese enchiladas. While the tortilla for the enchiladas was decent, the rest of the dish was bland. The quesadilla was even worse. I usually finish my food or take leftovers home, but I actually had to spit out my last bite halfway through because it was so bad. The cheese had an off taste, the guacamole looked old and brown, and the meat was chewy and tasteless. I will not be coming back.

Went here during a work trip... coworkers wanted mercia food, so I looked up some places and found Azul... the food was fantastic!!! Like everything was awesome... I had mole chicken enchiladas AND chili relleno... the mile is spot on... you can tell no shortcuts were taken here... I'll definitely be going back.. Parking was pretty easy, but it might get a little tricky when the lot fills up, but there really is plenty of room... I don't usually drink, but they had a full bat available, and the party at one table over complimented the drinks and how tasty they were... they were getting loud, so to me, it's a good sign, lol Go here, you'll like it...
