The Brisket Benny, drawn pig dog and bread pudding of French toast were all equally excellent, I cannot even choose a favorite. Many brunch spots hit a fried egg on brisket or pork and call it a day, but this place really had a kind of taste. The French toast had these spices that tasted very familiar, but I could not identify them, it was something you would expect to taste in a delicious dish, but somehow really worked with all the sweet flavors in the French toast. Anyway, recommend this place for Brunch 10 of 10. You have a fairly extensive cocktail menu and the drinks we tried were really good and not watered down, as some of these types of places tend to. Like many Austin restaurants they are extremely busy on weekends and limited in staff so be sure to reserve a table before, if not expect a long waiting period. The service was great, even if they were close and busy, we never felt unattended.
It was my first time to eat here with my friends. We ordered their brussel sprouts and queso for appetizers, they were both so delicious, the sauce on the spits was amazing, and you can never go wrong with chips and queso! I ordered the egg sandwich with the Haschbraun-Casserole and it was very good. Next time I will ask that the fried egg be cooked all the way, as I did not expect the egg yolk to spit out everywhere with my first bite. The service and the atmosphere were very good. I look forward to returning!
We had the best experience in Eastside Tavern and cannot say enough about the food updates and the friendly staff. We had visited the old EST when it was a bbq place for a long time and so we loved it? hesitate to find out the menu had a complete overhaul. Manager Megan told us we had to try everything and join us. Here in love. The wings, the Ceviche, and wow the Prime Rib were all to die. It was our friends there for the first time and they couldn't stop riding after that. Can wait to come back and see the rest of the menu and Megan (sp? again. Thank you.
New menu! The chicken sandwich and garlic fries were delicious! My husband had the wings and said they were really good too! Please give this place a chance as they have just revised their menu. The waiter kept our drinks filled and made sure we had a great experience. We're coming back!
New menu, new vibe! The new lunch menu offers good variety of American cuisine from Po Boy to burgers, salads and more. The Po Boy (I had mine on a croissant) was fantastic! Perfect blend of spices and balanced textures. I will be returning for this! Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 4-6. The space (indoors and out) is fantastic and there?s plenty of parking, so a perfect spot to meet after work.
