Jo's Coffee - Austin

The vegan menu now features a taco, a pack, and a smash burger. This update is based on the previous review from January 15, 2022.

The staff seemed unsure about which items were vegan, which made me hesitant to place my order. The restaurant was crowded, and they didn't appear to be very attentive; it felt like they just wanted to rush me through. When I asked about vegan options, they simply told me they didn’t know and that they couldn't check because they might not have the information. I won't be returning.

I came here with my family of meat-eaters, because it all of us could find something to eat. I got the veggie chili dog; it was pretty good the only thing I didn 't like was they put this cheese stuff on it and I couldn 't, for the life of me, figure out if it was real cheese or vegan, so I didn 't eat it,

The restaurant offers a selection of labeled vegan baked goods, which is fantastic! However, the coffee is just average. It's a lovely spot for those enjoying the South Congress area.

I took an evening here. the server had to check which veggie elements were vegan and there was no great choice, but they made me confident that they understood my requirements as they went through the options and necessary substitutions. I have the Fakon sandwich on a Gf-Back without the aioli. basically a blt with tempo instead of speck. did not like the fuffy Gf-being, because I could not taste much more, so I would hang on an salate or fries when I should go back.
