I appreciate how they had a dedicated worker attending to the cleanliness and orderliness of the interior (organizing the drink station, cleaning off tables, etc). The cashier was super friendly, and quite cheerful. I wasn't blown away by the speed of service, but I wouldn't classify them as slow (I also wouldn't classify them as fast). They have a drive-thru, and men's and women's restrooms. If you enjoy burgers, fries, and shakes, you'll really enjoy P. Terry's.
As a former Californian, this reminds me of In N Out burgers in a good way. Simple menu, good food, good value. I ordered just one cheeseburger to go Unfortunately it took way too long as I watched countless orders go out to the drive through while I was the only guy waiting at the counter for a single burger. So one star off for that. But the girl at the counter was kind and eventually fetched the burger for me. It was tasty, worth waiting for though! Comfort food that hits the spot.
Delicious as per usual. Always have to get it when in ATX!
I had food poisoning yesterday after ordering around 4:30pm. I spent from 8pm to 2am throwing up. The food was extremely greasy and I almost didn't want to eat it. I was surprised that it caused such a severe reaction. Additionally, I believe that the restaurant's marketing is misleading. They claim everything is natural, but they cook everything in seed oils. Removing seed oils would greatly improve the quality of the food.
The staff should not be eating while preparing burgers on the food line. I witnessed a young employee dropping a piece of bacon from her mouth onto the counter. Despite this, it is still a good burger place.
