Squarerut Kava - Austin

We had a fantastic time visiting this place! We're from St. Petersburg, Florida, and we really enjoyed the cool and welcoming atmosphere at the Square. Jimmy the dachshund guided us inside, offering top-notch customer service, and Dylan provided us with excellent recommendations on what to try. The art, furnishings, seating, and all the customers were simply delightful.

If I could give more stars, I absolutely would! I visited this place in Florida with my sister and her girlfriend, and they are huge fans of kava. They were thrilled to discover this spot. I ordered a hot tea and loved the amazing, comfortable atmosphere. They tried the aolana (not sure about the spelling?) at the kava station, where Dylan was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Meeting him was a real pleasure! He deserves a raise and a bonus for staying overnight to keep things safe while the window was being fixed—what a trooper! The regulars, including Jimmy the dog, were also welcoming, and we all enjoyed a lovely conversation. Thank you again, Dylan! We’ll definitely come back when we’re back in the area!

Try the Java and sample it on its own before adding coconut milk. I really enjoyed it and will definitely be returning for another drink. It's a fantastic alternative to alcohol or cannabis.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon, but I'm really glad we did. The staff was very welcoming and took the time to explain their different Kava drinks. It turned out to be a relaxing way to spend the afternoon or evening.

Nice and chill bar. Books and board games. Kava drink taste like roots.
