Wonderful atmosphere, great food and amazing staff. A must try!

Came here for dinner and it was delicious food, and a beautiful location set back from the road. Decided we would come a second time for dinner before seeing the Orchestra. I called in advance to make a reservation, saying I wanted a reservation for 2 at 4:30pm. They replied that they “don’t serve lunch”, I said ok what time does dinner service start? 4pm was told. Tried again to make a reservation stating the time and the person couldn’t seem to understand that 4:30pm dinner reservation meant just that. Went ahead and showed up for dinner, they asked if we had a reservation. I explained that I tried to make one on the phone, and they replied sorry we have a large party coming in later and they couldn’t “fit us in”. The parking lot had about 5 cars in it. Saw no guests in sight, and standing at the hostess desk were 5 people looking bored. Will not be returning due to poor service.

Great patio! Live music, really good wood fired pizza. Really great Orin Swift wine selection! The Abstract seldom disappoints! Tony behind the bar is great. The whole staff is friendly and helpful.

The older lady that was acting as a host was extremely rude to us and other members of our group. To the point that 5 people that were going to join us turned around and left. She was hostile and very inhospitable. Can’t believe any establishment would let someone like that be in a customer facing position.

Patio is absolutely beautiful in back bar area, however, the policies of restaurant negatively impact ability to enjoy the amazingly beautiful atmosphere. We arrived at 4pm and were told we could only sit at bar on patio area despite 7 open tables sitting vacant right next to us because we did not have a reservation , these 7 tables remained vacant almost the entire duration of our visit. Of which 3 4 tables sat unused the entire duration of our visit. Instead of giving the best service to the people who are present and ready to embrace the best possible experience at your restaurant, you are giving poor service which discourages folks from being interested in a return visit. I am not planning one. We enjoyed meeting people seated next to us at the bar and had fun with them. However, they voiced to us exactly what we felt, that the service was poor in the manner of seating people and that they were made to feel unimportant due to the way seating is handled. They also stated that they were told they had to leave by 6pm when they visited on another occasion and sat indoors. Enjoy a stop for a drink if sitting at outdoor bar. Bring your own fun as always : However, I would not bother going without a reservation if you would like to be seated at a table. Happy hour menu is small and limited. Only tried two items which were okay. The surf and turf sounded promising but disappointed as it lacked in flavor and poor preparation of green beans which were not cooked. The vegetable flatbread was mediocre. I would not order either again. Service was slow and unengaging at the bar.
