Skips Chicago Dogs - Avondale Estates

Skip's has some incredible tasting food!! I love the Chicago hotdogs, and they are so good. My buddy had the reuben sandwich and said it was delicious. Whenever I am close by, I try to pull in and eat, I live 45 minutes away, so it is always a great place to go since I don't get Skip's as often as I would like!! Parking: The parking can be a little hectic, but there are several parking spots, and one usually becomes available. Kid-friendliness: It has a neat atmosphere!!

Will definitely go back! This was mine and my sisters first experience here along with our Dad, who'd been here many times. We said we'd like to bring our individual families here to experience it too. We all had the Italian beef sandwiches. Our Dad had his dipped and we had au jus on the side. Dad had fries and we had the onion rings. Those were the best onion rings but I wish they gave you a few more especially with the upcharge. The fries were fresh and hot as well. Highly recommend, I wish they were closer and want to try other menu options. Great first impressions! 3/29/24 Skip's doesn't disappoint. I'm more disappointed in myself for not trying their chili dog yet! I went there specifically for one and I got curfuffled by the lest side menu and totally missed the other two! But, I got the Italian beef with bell peppers instead of hot peppers this time with onion rings. All on point and worth it. I'll absolutely be going back for that chili dog though!

Being from chicago, this place was suggested to me. My Italian beef was a lil tasty but was not Chicago style. Their definition of sweet peppers were green bell peppers and it wasn’t dipped enough! The drive thru clerk customer service was A1 but the food is nowhere near Chicago style

Love this place. We order three hot dog combos and three shakes. Super Duper Yummy! Loved all the Michael Jordan memorabilia.
