The kitchen offers everything the heart desires in the Black Forest. Tradition and regionality are great. Last year we came to a drink and decided to come back and feed this year of an evening. the regional weine were as always quite good, the Trollinger-Lemburger is a soft red without the acid and the tannin, which can arise through egg wood. the meal was usually more than acceptable and the service was acceptable. the steak was large, but not thick cut and was only served with brot, although vegetables were available; the fish was almost as good as the fresh trout that was eaten in black forest trout at the top of the hills: the "cordon bleu" was an interesting presentation of meat in kiewer style; while the chicken in sharp sauce was very good. from a limited dessert list, I chose an apple tile - a Swabian delicacies that was so delicious that it is sought again and enjoyed. but probably not there. the jaegerhof is located on a scenic landscaped area, where lush flowers and bushes can be seen during the day, while on the grazing and walking around the hotel there is a much more fascinating animals to see. in the night we went, was the only animal that was to be seen, a dog eating at the table of his owner. we have eaten there on Friday, 2 September, in the early evening, we will probably not return.
