I stayed here on the way from yosemite to la. service and eating were excellent. the interieur is classic diner, and as tourist from europa I loved the authenticity of this place. manager regularly welcomed personally. our sandwiches were excellent as homemade. in any case a place I return to when I drive through bakersfield.

This place is the best. believes all great reviews. naomi, our server at the counter was so attentive and evil that we get our order to us. our coffee never showed up more than a quarter down before we got a refill. we had the trout, cinnamon roll (yes, it is covered with butter,) and earthy crepes. we had a lot of rest, but we were filled! that is a clear winner!
