Garduno's Taco King - Baldwin Park

The plus is that they do have plenty of vegan options. The negative is that this place Used to be good. Gradually we 've been frequenting less and less because food was too salty, their bacon would literally be burned every single time despite having asked for sausage. Tamales were dry. Prices have gone up way too much (which is understandable) and, I wouldnt mind paying IF the quality of food was still good. Beans now taste like they are using Rosarita canned beans and the rice was old and chewy. Friend got the chili fries and said they were still too salty, jack fruit was also salty. A few other friends said the same, that they hadnt gone to Gardunos anymore because they didnt like the taste of the food now. Really dissapointed. Lots of plant based options and they are so good! It actually tastes like authentic Mexican food. Portion sizes are very big as well. Service is very friendly and quick. 10/10 recommend Updated from previous review on 2023-05-31

I had the vegan potato taquitos, the Jamaica and the vegan tres leches and they were all amazing! I will definitely be coming back

Ordered tamales and vegan queso fresco for the holidays. All outstanding. I personally don't care too much about non-vegan places that also serve vegan food, but if you do, I guess that could be the only con here. Great spot.
