While waiting for the ferry, I struck up a conversation with some fellow passengers, who happened to be from Saskatchewan. We discovered a charming little diner with amazing views of the inlet, delicious coffee, and a variety of breakfast options. It was a great find and I even made some new friends in the process.
Service was friendly, and the breakfast burrito, breakfast bite, and veggie bite were all incredible. Perfectly balanced flavours. Local art hangs on the walls, and coffee is always fresh. Thank you Holly's Diner!!
We popped into the restaurant while waiting for the ferry. A friendly young lady took our order and she seemed to really enjoy her job. The food was delicious and the coffee was also very good.
My niece and I spent a lovely morning together and decided to take a ride out from Nelson to Balfour, B.C. to have lunch at what I now know to be named Holly's Diner, previously known as Lang's Marina and Snack Bar. Our lovely and gracious server, (we were well-taken care of) by Michaela, who gave us great suggestions as everything looked delicious and we weren't sure just what to have. I ordered Chicken strips (delicious) and my niece ordered a burger (great, too). The scenery is spectacular with the ferry coming and going and people enjoying themselves frolicking on the beach. A great place to visit between Nelson and Kaslo, B.C. and well-worth a stop there before continuing on your journey.
