Ajmer's Indian Restaurant - BALGOWLAH

We used to go to this place when it was in Belrose. We were happy when it appeared in Balgowlah. Some of the best indian around.

Tasty food but I'm not sure I'll order again after waiting well over an hour and then getting lukewarm curry and cold naans.

Whilst staying over in self catering accommodation we utilised Ajmer a couple of times. The first time we ordered lamb rogan josh and chicken jalfrezi. Ten out of ten for the lamb, good sauce and lean tender lamb pieces. The chicken however did not taste too good and was coloured green, perhaps the sauce. The sauce was good. On the second occasion the lamb again was excellent , the naan was quite small for the price. The delivery took around 35/45 minutes. It's not cheap but is an easy option and saves cooking!

We came with friends and enjoyed a variety of meals, which we shared. Everything was nice and tasty, and perfectly cooked. We all enjoyed the food and the service. Would come back again. The Mango Kulfi and Pistachio Kulfi (homemade Indian Ice cream) was delicious after the meal.There is a car park behind the restaurant and a bus stop right opposite.

Great food and service. Every meal was lovely,staff very friendly. We have had take away three times and it is always beautiful.
