La Barrita Restobar - Baltimore

Tiny, cozy restaurant. Perfect for a date or special occasion. Food is pricy but delicious. Or grab a seat at the bar and have a glass of wine and empanadas. Highly recommend the chickpea appetizers! Pasta specials are always a good choice.

Food and service were wonderful. We started with cocktails and ordered the octopus appetizer. Unfortunately getting the appetizer was delayed so our main course arrived within only minutes afterward but the food was on point. The octopus was beautifully prepared and tasted even better. We shared a whole Bronzino that was accompanied by a very yummy salad with marinated mushrooms as well as some yummy crispy potatoes. For dessert we had the dulce de leche crepes and espresso martinis. Neither disappointed. This was our 4th visit and we're again highly impressed. Only complaint is the hightop seating, standard seating was unavailable that evening. It is more like sitting at a bar top, sitting side by side and the table depth is small. Dinner for 2 was one appetizer, one main, one dessert, all more than shareable with 2 rounds of cocktails and 2 glasses of wine was about $225 before tip. A bit pricey but top quality.

Great overall, however there seems to be a glitch in making a reservation through open table. I booked a reservation for 7:30 with open table, however when we arrived the restaurant had us down for 7:15 and we almost lost our table. I am grateful that they were able to resolve the issue for us, however I could see this as being a big issue for some restaurants as they usually only allow a 15min for arrival before the table is given away.

Food is excellent and reasonably priced. Service is attentive but not hovering. Neighborohod gem!

Great food, service, and ambience. Their Ribeye and Gnocchi were fantastic.
