Thai Yum - Baltimore

As others mentioned, tom yum suffers from well intended, but misplaced service, fat eating and bad ambiente. unfortunately it misses the sign. a few lowlights: payment rules have been explained how we set ourselves - not to do a welcoming thing. they would be better off accepting cash. -service was overlaid/too much -no music left diners feeling awkward

I love their pad Thai. Everything is good. Owners are sweet and service is fantastic. Couldn't say a bad thing about Thai Yum. Great work lunch spot.

Penny (chef/owner) and Tom always treat you like family. She makes the best fried green beans around and the rest of her dishes are balanced and flavorful. When you want to go someplace local, have a good meal in a quiet atmosphere, not feel rushed and not empty your wallet, Thai Yum is the place! Oh, and did I mention the desert? Yum!

Great Thai food. We had the Calamari, which was very tasteful and not overcooked. Pad tai was good and the drunk noodle dish was fantastic. Spicy and many different flavors combined to make a good meal. Good service, but not a beautiful place. We will definitely return

I think it's IMPOSSIBLE to get a bad meal here! My wife loved the drunk noodles with shrimps. It was a bit too spicy for me, but she LOVED it. I had the steak special and although I like my steak med-well, it was tender enough to cut with my fork and scrumptuous. The wine list is very comprehensive, but more than reasonable. If you know what you are looking for, you can get a very nice wine without breaking. The appetizers (pumps for them and ribs for me) were almost too nice to eat. You can't go without sharing a Thai tea homemade ice cream. All my extra-city friends will eat here safely.
