Phoenix Palace - Banbridge

This Chinese restaurant has become our favorite spot. After trying out several others in Banbridge, we found that none compared to our old local spot. However, we stumbled upon this one by accident and were pleasantly surprised. Despite being located in a petrol station forecourt, the amazing smell caught our attention as soon as we arrived. We have tasted about 20 different items on the menu, and every single one has been absolutely delicious. Additionally, the young girl working at the counter taking orders is incredibly kind and friendly.

Pleasent staff, great on the phone etc..however meat on top of my special fried rice was like shoe leather, the rest was extremely dry and flavourless, the chips I got with it were not fresh or pleasant either. This is a once in a while treat for me as I don't have a lifestyle to afford regular take-aways so I felt deflated after looking forward. If you just want generous amount of food that's passable to fill you up I would still recommend as maybe it was just not to great for me on this occasion.

Great that you can see into the kitchen, unlike most others. Busy at weekends so expect to wait. 5* Food Hygiene Rating. More expensive than some of the competition.

Ordered Roast Spring Chicken as it was my first time using the place. What I got I'm really not sure! Gravy resembled black tar and the chicken was just tiny charred chicken pieces, mostly consisting of skin. With exception of the chips it's all went into the bin.
