Dave's Place - Bancroft

Like others have said Dave is very friendly and cooks everything fresh. It was all so yummy. The outside is deceiving. It doesn't look as fancy as the food is good.

We ordered the big breakfast, coconut shrimp, and a 10oz New York steak. It was all very good, no complaints except the ham was a bit salty. The shrimp was much better than I expected, fresh and crispy, the fries were very good, and the steak was a good quality as well for its price. Server was also very polite, a great place to get a meal.

Our birthday celebration for an 80 year old got moved to Dave's Place, when the local Chinese restaurant failed to acknowledge our group. People ordered a variety of food and drinks, and Dave's service was adequate.Parking was a bit of challenge for a large group.Would be great to have ice water brought to the table without asking, but that is becoming the "norm" in many food places.

We love going to Dave's Place. The menu has a good variety and Dave cooks everything himself and he is so friendly. He allows you to sit and relax without pushing you out the door. We have enjoyed everything we have eaten there and it's great supporting an individual as opposed to a franchise. The benches are a little worn, but the food is great! :)

Nicely decorated and clean. Had breakfast here with my husband. Was very tasty. Bacon was cooked like I like it. Food wasn't Greasy. Prices were very reasonable. Will certainly go back.
