After waiting for my lunch for 45 minutes, I decided that I had enough and went to talk to the chef to find that none of my meals were made. they tried to compensate by offering a free garlic cheese pizza, but was that really enough to get rid of very bad service? it was also a Mother's Day event. the food itself was not so pleasant, I had to share the seafood tasting platter, quite unseasonal. the steak itself was soft, but unlike that, not great at all. will not come back.
On first impressions I was not overly keen , a Saturday night and no place to eat before 5.30 , you could sit at a table but u had to leave the restaurant and go elsewhere for drinks , even after ordering our meals typical club style the queues were long , I ordered the arancini balls and a garlic cheese pizza which were pretty good, i had ordered the Texan burger which was meant to be a beef brisket burger but upon tasting it tasted of bacon and had the texture of gammon, I am not a bacon fan nor a gammon fan and took it straight back, the reason of my high scoring review is how my complaint was dealt with , both the girl at the till and chef at the pass were pleasant to deal with and...read more
Lovely dining area, set in a train station. Had the shared seafood plate with calamari, octopus moreton bay bugs, prawns and flathead fillets. Not bad (especially the octopus which were really tender) but not sure about battering and deep frying prawns (shell on) and the bugs. The restaurant bar was great value pure blondes for $5.
A lovely setting for an afternoon out. We had booked for around 10 people for a birthday on this occasion. We were quickly seated and ordering food in a matter of minutes. The Greenfield Station Bistro has a wide variety of dishes on offer. We settled on the Chicken Wings, Cheesy Pizza, Thai Green Curry, Scotch Fillet and Salt and Pepper Squid. The entrees were out quite quickly. As soon as we took them back to our table the buzzer was going off again for our mains. The main sizes we thought were quite small. The Scotch Fillet was as big as your palm and the Thai Green Curry was majority prawns and rice. The Salt and Pepper Squid though was a decent serving. It came with a dozen pieces...read more
Came here one morning for the buffet breakfast. Had most of what u expected. For $24, you get what you pay for. Far from gourmet dining experience but all in all good if you feel like stuffing yourself in the morning.
