Unfortunately I have developed a food intolerance since then so I had called to see what options there were for me. The employee I talked to on the phone was really sweet and kind. Unfortunately management did not train their employees well. I was misinformed about the menu. I was told that I didn’t have any options for me. Consequently I told my friends I’d meet them there and bring in food from somewhere else. I brought in my unopened freshly cooked culvers bags to pizza ranch and was told I could either eat in my car or sit with my friends while they ate and just looked on hungerly. They said they had gluten/dairy free options. Something I was told they didn’t have over the phone. The older lady employee that was serving me was very rude. The lady I had talked with on the phone was really sweet and nice so I do not fault her in the least and even when I was they she was very sympathetic. I explained my situation and that I was misinformed. Since I was not happy with what the older lady employee told me, she got the manager. The management told me that I should have asked for a manager when I called and continued to tell me I couldn’t eat my Culvers in here. I told them that I should not have to pay then because it wasn’t my fault I was misinformed. They told me I could eat from the salad bar only which of course that is the only thing I can eat there because of my intolerance. I was very unhappy with the rude manner of the manager and the older lady employee. Consequently I don’t recommend this place if you have a food intolerance. I also don’t recommend it because of the lack of training and rude manner of some management and employees.

When we got to the counter and paid, my friend used a coupon, which required the manager's assistance. She greeted us with a small smile. While my friend and I chatted, I noticed the manager's smile faded, but I didn't think much of it at the time. After we found a seat, we headed to the buffet to get our food. Suddenly, the kitchen door swung open, and the same manager, looking upset, approached us. In a rude and aggressive tone, she informed us that I needed to wear a shirt. She said they would let it slide this time, but next time I would be asked to leave. I was taken aback and apologized, explaining I wasn't aware. Her response was, "We have a sign; you should learn to read," before she returned to the kitchen. I was really disappointed by her approach and the way she addressed me about wearing a shirt. If she had been polite but firm, I would have understood. I even wondered why she didn’t mention it before we paid. Overall, the food was decent, and the person who cleared our plates was friendly, but I won’t be returning to this location. It’s unfortunate because I used to love coming here.
