This is a really lovely Thai placeI know there's heaps of options in Sydney but this one has a great mix of traditional and modern dishes.

My wife was away so I wandered into Darling Harbour for lunch. This is not a 'personal' restaurant but the staff were attentive and helpful. I ordered the duck rolls and a stir fried chicken. Also a bottle of white wine. Hell nothing else to do that afternoon. The food was excellent and well presented. The wine kept cool and topped up when needed. I ordered some chilis on the side as the dish was mild by Thai standards. Like Chinese food years ago all Thai food in Sydney is now 'dumbed down' spice wise to avoid complaints. Overall a nice experience.

Selected this restaurant for a special occassion, based on a review in the Qantas Traveller magazine I had read some time before. I eat a lot of Thai food and was looking for something a little different from the local suburbanThai food. Have to say I was hugely dissapointed - requested a "waterside" table but arrived late and ended up placed in the middle - ok - we did arrive late but the "waterside" tables are actually some distance from the water - did not make much of a difference. Service was friendly and efficient and the food nicely presented but it was very dissapointing - by Thai standards not at all tasty and not as good as many local Thai places. My partner (who is Thai) was absolutely scathing - although her tastes are probably a little on the spicy side as she adds chopped chillie to almost everything. After the review in Traveller I have to say I expected much more - food wise its pretty average westernised Thai food, nicely presented but overly expensive for what you get - you are definitely paying for the Barrangaroo location.
