Chakrakma (chabimura Starting Point)

Awesome place the boat ride and the short trek to the cave is thrilling to say the least! The rock carvings are awe inspiring! There are cottages coming up for night stay too a must visit place for nature lovers!

It's a must visit in Tripura, though lost of people used to visit Unakoti, I will rate this place before unakoti. Boat ride to reach this place is also very satisfying. But again this spot is also not maintained like all place of interest in tripura.

My overall experience was very nice, we had spent a wanderful day, with my family members, but there are few disappointing factors that forced me to rate this place only by 2stars, Those disappointing factors are, 1, the road conditions to the tourist spot, is lamentable, you will feel some annoying off road experience.. 2. There are only 1 shop that's provide food to the tourist, as there is a monopoly, the shopkeeper ask for extreme prices for very ordinary goods. T We were thirsty,so we went to the shop for some cold rinks but the shopkeeper asked 50/ for a 750ml Coca Cola, which was labelled with 40/ MRP. 3. The boat fare is 150/ INR but to be honest, this water ride is not worthy of 150/ inr per head.. 4. There was public washroom, and that wash room is equipped with water supply, but there is no water in it.. This place need a good treatment, from the authority..

The dense forest reminds of Amazon and the emerald green water of river between 2 high hills is mesmerizing. A 30 minutes cruise takes one to the carving in a couple of places on the rock and a temple cave, quite eerie. The negative point is the developing road stretch between Amarpur and Chhabimura and the lack of facilities there. But the beauty of this virgin place is breathtaking.

It is one of the most famous tourist sites in Tripura. This place is just 82 km from the centre of Agartala. If you want to visit Chakrakma, it is best to book and arrive a private taxi. It takes about 1 hour45min. The road condition is good except for the last 7km from now on. But the road is made and soon it will be good. Here Gomati flows reverally through hilly forest. You can get a ticket for the boat trip and enjoy one of the most beautiful places in Tripura. Various boats have different passenger capacity. In the public boat per person, the ticket costs 150.
