Applebee's - Barnesville

It was at least 3 years since my last visit to Applebee's, but seeing how I had a ride today was a good day to go back. I ordered the Bourbon chicken and shrimp. It was delicious. A big part so I brought my left overs home to eat later. My server was great! She smiled a lot, was quick with my refills and was very specific to my needs. My only problem with my visit to Applebee was that I sat beside a family of six, of which two were small children crying... a lot. I will visit Applebee again when the opportunity arises.

The food was truly excellent. I had the four cheese macaroni and cheese with honey pepper chicken on the side, and everything was delicious. The portion sizes seemed small at first, but they were actually just right. If you decide to order what I had, I recommend getting the chicken and sauce on the side, as I find the sauce can overshadow the cheese in the pasta, but that’s just my personal preference. I also enjoyed a raspberry dessert that was sweet, yet delightful. The service was quite good as well; our waitress was friendly and everything arrived in a timely manner. I also ordered the Brownie Biss for dessert. Once again, the portion was small, but the rich sweetness of the brownie made it the perfect size.

Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The burger looked fantastic, but it fell apart a bit. The fries, on the other hand, were wonderfully soft. I really enjoyed the tacos as well; they were delicious!

My friend and I had a wonderful meal at the bar along with a few drinks. The bartender was genuinely friendly and went above and beyond to keep the bar tidy while also serving us promptly. The manager even took the time to explain how to make a special drink that my friend had enjoyed during a visit years ago. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning!
