Chimina Changa - Barnet

I chose to visit this restaurant with a friend to take advantage of my tastecard. The restaurant was bustling but had a pleasant ambiance. The staff were attentive and the food was scrumptious, complemented by delicious cocktails to end the meal.

This was the worst dining experience we have ever had. The food was terrible and the customer service was extremely poor. The starters looked like they had been reheated. The main dishes were served cold. When we complained, we were told that the kitchen was closing at 10:00. The manager's response was, "What do you expect, it's Christmas Eve."

Overall, my experience at the restaurant was mediocre. I found the food to be below standard and haphazardly served. However, the front of house staff were friendly and enjoyable to interact with.

We wanted to have a simple Mexican lunch so went to Chimichanga on Monday around 12pm. We were the first and the only customers in the restaurant at that time. The service was really bad as we had to go and look for a waiter ourselves when we wanted to order drinks, and later, when we were ready to order food. I felt like we were interrupting their personal conversation as staff members were not interested about the service at all. We decided to start with grilled chorizo halloumi, nachos with chicken and chicken taquitos. After food was delivered to our table waitress did not ask if we wanted another drink, although our glasses were empty and she just walked away. So after having starters we decided to leave and have main dishes and desserts somewhere else. The food quality was average and drinks took long time to arrive. That was the last time we visited this place, would not recommend, at least not the one that is located in Leisure Park.

Booked a table for a party of 20 plus to celebrate a 18th Birthday. We arrived at the stipulated time however the table was not ready. 15 minutes later we were told our table was ready however there was not sufficient places available. When she came to take our order she read a list of about 6 dishes that were on the menu but we're not available! What made it even worse was that we were all vegetarians 5 of the 6 dishes were vegetarian options! Starters were served but not enough plates to go around, we were basically told there no more plates available from the plates we were given a lot of them were dirty. I was absolutely gob smacked how can a restaurant run out of plates? When we ordered 5 bottles of coke I was told your lucky as this is the only glass we have so not only did they not have plates they didn't have glasses either. The food was of poor quality the service atrocious. The waitress was rude flippant when questioned about the lack of clean plates glasses. We had taken in our own cakes which we left with the staff when we arrived they had just left it out rather than keeping it in the fridge or cool place as the writing on the cake had melted. When we asked for some plates for the cake half the plates had to be returned as they were dirty! We went there to celebrate a special birthday were left totally disappointed. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone
