Mattakeese Wharf - Barnstable

My experience with Mattakeese Wharf is nothing less than romantic, even if I leave alone. The staff welcomes me, treats me, and the food is to die for.Lummer roles, Prime Rib, Pommes..mmmmmm

Until last night I would have given this restaurant a very satisfactory review with three good meals and good service beforehand. But last night was a bummer. Bad service and an ugly $50 baked lobster. It was a special occasion, so the experience was particularly disappointing. By the way, if I say ugly, I mean it in any way. I should have rejected it. My fault. I won't come back soon.

I had a very romantic experience at Mattakeese Wharf, even when I ordered takeout by myself. The staff greeted me warmly, treated me well, and the food was amazing. The lobster rolls, prime rib, and fries were to die for!

Up until last night, I would have rated this restaurant very highly based on three enjoyable meals and good service in the past. However, last night's experience was extremely disappointing. The service was poor and the $50 baked stuffed lobster was unappetizing. It was a special occasion which made the disappointment even greater. When I say the lobster was ugly, I mean it in every sense of the word. I should have sent it back. Unfortunately, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant in the near future.
