Amazing lunch stop. We hiked up from Andlau. Great location and atmosphere. Sandra made us welcome and made a wine suggestion that racked our world. We both were amazed by our food. We did need desert but the pear tart sounded to good to pass up, and it was! Truly exceptional food and service in a forest lodge setting.

A little off the beaten track, this place is wonderful! Whether you are calling in for a cold beer after a long walk or planning on a 'full-on ' dining experience, a visit here is a must if you are in the area. They produce some of the best Tarte Flambees in the region and everything else I have tried is truly first class. They have done a great job over the last few months during Covid-19, limiting tables on the inside of the restaurant but allowing drinks and their 'tartes ' to be eaten in their large outdoor area and making sure all areas are disinfected, hand sanitiser is used and masks are worn when required. Ample parking if arriving by car, but very popular with walkers and cyclists.

Saw it on TripAdvisor and thought must go . Through our own poor navigation proved a real challenge to find. Once found though well worth the search and journey. My wife had ribs and I had chicken cordon Bleu. In both cases best we have ever had. Great views over Rhine Valley. Good service. We will be back and recommend very highly.
