Írjon visszajelzéstI had eaten here before the end of 2019 and the food was amazing. I had no chance to come back today. I am pleased to report that the food is still phenomenal. You have a huge menu to choose including numerous options for vegans and for eating gluten free. The location is unbeatable as it has a great view of the lake. It even has a roof terrace and a lower terrace. The staff is super friendly, and the owners are great. Can't wait to go back. Very recommended.
This restaurant is located right by the waterfront and boasts a stunning view. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly our food was served. The quality of the dishes was outstanding. We ordered the Bulgogi noodles and the Pulled Pork Sandwich, and both were excellent. The weather was beautiful, so we enjoyed our meal on the terrace with lovely views of the water. I would definitely return. There's a parking lot at the restaurant as well as street parking available. The street parking is free on weekends but requires payment during the week. For electric vehicle owners, there are about six Tesla destination chargers and two J1772 chargers nearby on the street. While those charging spots are free, keep in mind that you still need to pay for parking.
We had a delightful experience with our waitress, Colleen, who assisted us in making the best choices for our meal! As vegans, we were thrilled to find a variety of delicious vegan options on the menu. Our favorites were the jackfruit pulled pork sandwich and the rice noodle stir-fry with bulgogi tofu!
For the first time at Grillicious and believe me, it won't be our last! With so much change in Dunlop Street, this hidden treasure is an absolute jewel right at the corner of Hooters. The service: Heather was our server and she was incredibly attentive, extremely knowledgeable and very friendly to our 17-month, who was with us. Also to get to know the bartender Mackenzie and the owner/Koch Josie who were both super. Easy friendly service from all girls there. The food: Chef Josie told us that absolutely everything is homemade or from local suppliers with their own recipes right up to the hamburger rolls and sauces... and you can try it safely! Everything that came out was spectacular and so delicious. My poutine with Elchwurst was one of the best poutins I had, the sausage was really delicious and spicy, the engraving was thick and plentiful, but the freshly cut Russet potato fries won the price here. Next time I would like to try the food of Josie's homeland Indonesia, which they also serve here. Beer: It seems strange to say that somewhere has the best craft beer selection on Dunlop Street, when the incredibly popular Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery is just a few doors down, but they have managed to curate a taping list that celebrates the best of Ontario craft. Collective Arts, GLB, Lake of Bays and much more are coming on tap here and with some Amsterdam beers soon, I definitely found my Barrie water hole. Don't do what I did earlier, and just until Flying Monkeys, when you go down Dunlop, take a few extra steps to Grillicious and you won't be disappointed!
From the moment you walk in, the staff exudes warmth and hospitality. It's such a pleasure to be welcomed and served by such a wonderful group. I ordered the Balgogi sandwich with hand-cut fries, while my girlfriend chose the Balgogi served over egg noodles, inspired by Filipino cuisine. Both dishes were incredibly enjoyable. If you're in the mood for hand-cut fries, don't miss the chance to order them as a side—they're exceptional. The kitchen clearly has some talent. The craft beer selection is impressive; I went with a beer from Canvas (Huntsville). One suggestion for improving the menu would be to include the locations of the microbreweries, as well as the ABV (Alcohol by Volume) and IBU (International Bitterness Units) for each beer.
