Írjon visszajelzéstWhile shopping for birthday cards for my wife with my eldest son, we decided to stop by The Hideaway Tea Rooms for a drink. We were pleased to see that they now serve frothy coffee and hot chocolate in addition to tea. I ordered a bowl of soup and my son ordered a toasted tea cake. I also got a coffee. The service was friendly and the soup was delicious, served with a warm baguette. My son wasn't very hungry but still enjoyed his toasted tea cake. Overall, it was a nice break after a long day of shopping for birthday cards and presents. - Sam B.
We decided to visit the hideaway tearooms during a trip to town with our children. We had heard that it was child-friendly, but unfortunately, this was not the case. There was no children's menu or options for drinks, and surprisingly, there were no high chairs for my youngest child to sit in. I had read somewhere that the toilet had been voted as having the cleanest in the area, but I was not impressed - the towel in the toilet was damp and smelly, so I had to dry my hands on my pants. It would be more hygienic to have a hand dryer or paper towels available. The menu was okay, but some items seemed overpriced. Overall, it was just okay, but we would only consider returning without the kids as it was not ideal for them. The waitress was friendly and welcoming. We noticed that they did not have a food hygiene rating yet, which seemed unusual for a place that had been open for four months. We were told that this should have been done within a month of opening. However, we saw a sticker in the window indicating that they were awaiting inspection, so hopefully that goes well.
This cafe has a charming and traditional atmosphere, with exceptionally friendly staff. The prices are very reasonable, and the black coffee is some of the best I've had in a while (served at the perfect temperature). The smell of freshly baked pie adds to the overall cozy feeling. I highly recommend this place.
I had coffee and cake last week at this tea room and it was fantastic. It was my first time trying this place and I was impressed by the excellent customer service and the lovely people working there. The menu looked amazing and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be returning.
During our shopping trip in Barrow, we stumbled upon this hidden gem near the Market Hall. After perusing the menu, we decided to give it a try. Upon entering, we were impressed by how clean and well-decorated the restaurant was. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We even got a takeaway to enjoy at home. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning soon.
