Montana Mike's Steakhouse

I recently visited this restaurant because I had heard good things about it, but I was quite disappointed. Although my server was very nice, the quality of the food was underwhelming. My steak was bland, the potato skins lacked filling, and the apple dessert was drowned in sauce. I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant.

We waited at the hostess stand for 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. Even after four other families arrived after us, we still went unnoticed. Eventually, I had to approach a server passing by to inform them that we had been waiting for too long. The server promised to get someone to assist us in a few minutes, but we decided to leave 5 minutes before that happened. If it takes so long just to be recognized at the hostess stand, I can only imagine how long the overall service would take.

They informed us at 8:20 that their kitchen would be closing in 20 minutes, so we needed to order quickly. Despite the menu stating they close at 10, they actually shut down early and informed us that certain items were no longer available as it was too late. With 20 years of kitchen experience, I understand that kitchens close when business slows down, regardless of the official closing time. Unfortunately, once the kitchen had only a few orders left, they seemed eager to close up shop, leaving us to sit in silence. We had come to this restaurant with family in town for a funeral, hoping for a peaceful gathering, but instead were met with unwelcoming service. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.

My steak was tender, juicy, very tasty cooked to perfection. ranch dressing homemade, it's great! salat was fresh, there's nothing brown here. kartoffel and rolls were hot and delicious. I liked that the butter for both was not frozen in these small packages. zoe was our waitress, she went the extra mile to make sure everything was correct and checked for us often. we were through, not sure when we were back. it's worth stopping. all were friendly.

1st time I have eaten here and I loved it! Terry and I took Mom and Pop Jones for Lunch after Sunday service. Our waitress was so very kind!! She got our whole order correct and kept our glasses full even though they we so busy for Mother's Day!! I would recommend the Fillet cooked medium and it is perfect!! Forgot to take Mother's Day pictures!! ??
