I needed a 5-day break and a dog friendly hotel. A hotel where I had peace and quiet to work, and where I could walk my dog within the hotel grounds without getting bored of the route. I needed to feel like this was a home away from home, where there was good food, friendly staff, and like-minded guests. Mcdonald Leeming House exceeded my criteria on every level. My time away was everything and more of what I'd hoped for. Rooms: The perfect dog friendly room, with the comfort and atmosphere I wanted. Walkability: Superb dog friendly grounds, with woodland, walks to the open lakeside, and lots of variety. Noteworthy details: The staff were all genuinely sincere, warm, and friendly.
