El Ranchito Jalisco - Bartow

Location is easy to find but the way the exterior is setup may not always feel the most inviting or that they’re even open. Plenty of parking. The atmosphere inside is very family friendly, staff is attentive and always present. Lots of sitting room to dine. Unfortunately, El Ranchito was not up to my expectations when it comes to Mexican food. We had the steak tacos, enchiladas and two burritos. The beans were surprisingly very delicious which is a miss for most restaurants! The rice was a bit dry and overcooked, as was the rest of the food. It lacked flavor, spice, zest you name it, it was lacking. The best way to compare it, if you go to Arizona/California and order tacos it tastes authentic, from Mexico. These taste like my southern mother, who is from Arkansas attempted to cook and tell everyone it was Mexican food, I suppose a good comparison would be texmex? Overall, I would not suggest eating here as there are better options nearby.

Food is overall good, id reccomend the queso and chips and getting a combo meal with multiple items in it.

Service was terrible, took 10-15 minutes to try and pay the bill and the guy that finally came to the register, yelled we are busy and had and attitude, in front of my 77 year old Mother. Total disrespect from the staff, will not go back, would not recommend anyone to go there. TRYING TO PAY THE BILL AND GET YELLED AT BY YOUR STAFF. He then called me out, said what are you going to do, said I will be out front, not the kind of place you want to take your kids or family to when the staff yells and threatens you.

Had their #1 lunch special, a taco, burrito, enchilada and chalupa, chips and salsa. All was very good!! They have a hot sauce that was tasty as well, kind of a yellow habanero sauce. Will definitely be back!! Also has their dirty margarita, a blend of all their types of margaritas. Was very good as well!!

I feel like the waiters should be a little more cheerful specially when's it's special occasions .
