Tom's Chicken Shack - Bartow

I visit this restaurant for lunch every couple of weeks. I recently started working and moved to Winter Haven, but when I was in Bartow, I fell in love with this place. The atmosphere is very much a small-town vibe, family-oriented, and professional. The chicken is fantastic, the service is always friendly, and the prices are great.

I'm still giving this place a five-star rating because I know the owner and he's a really nice person. We visited the Shack about an hour ago, and there was a girl with red hair at the front counter who looked completely dazed. She ended up taking our order, but it seemed like she didn't want to be there. I always order the same thing when we eat there, but this time I was charged $35 and didn’t receive what I ordered. The girl with red hair didn’t seem to pay attention to me at all. When we checked our food, it was incorrect. Although it was corrected later, while we were waiting for the chicken that never arrived, we overheard other employees saying, "These people need to leave." That was really rude. If it weren't for customers, you wouldn’t be getting a paycheck.

This is one of the best chicken restaurants in Bartow. I've been coming here since I was a child with my brother, sister, and mother, who all loved the food. I highly recommend this place!

I would give it 5 stars if the prices were a bit more reasonable I understand inflation but it’s a bit much. Other than price I would definitely recommend.

Very good chicken and fish fresh and very tasty.
