Afternoon Tea @1449 Restaurant, Bar Grill Crowne Plaza

Beautiful afternoon. the first time is here since it was renovated and it looks good. will be great in summer. good price and serving. in any case worth a visit.

We arrived, but they couldn't find our reservation. I showed them the confirmation email, and the hostess told us they were only serving the festive tea. She then asked the cook if we could still have it at the same price, and we were allowed to. However, when the food arrived, the tea was cold, and overall, I wasn't impressed with it at all. I had much better expectations and was quite disappointed.

Very excited, with my friend for afternoon tee (1st time without children for ever) nice hotel welcome to go. the afternoon was very moderate. cheap lunch. when we wanted to pay, they tried to ask us to pay the full price, but I explained I booked in advance and that was quickly corrected. even if we needed more tee, there was no one around, but to the luck found someone who just added more boiling water.

Very nice eating, good fast service. had not made our booking out of any reason, but quickly put together a table for us. great!

However, our initial experience with the service was not ideal. When I went to check in, there was no reservation under my name, despite having an email confirmation with the date and time of my booking. They explained that it hadn’t been entered into their system, so there is definitely room for improvement in their organization. Fortunately, the restaurant was completely empty, and they were able to accommodate us. I can’t help but wonder what they would have done if they had been fully booked—would they have turned us away? I certainly hope not, as this was an error on their part. Once we settled in, we enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea with Prosecco, which was definitely worth the money. While I know this isn’t the hotel's fault, I would have appreciated a few more guests to create a livelier atmosphere, as it was just the two of us in a completely empty room.
