Cypriana Fish - Bassetlaw

I almost couldn't eat the fish, I paid 22 pounds for three portions of fish and chips, and all three fish were the same. There was hardly any batter on them, which made the fish dry and tough, and the chips were also not good.

We used to go to this fish restaurant fairly often but it now has new owners and i have to say it is nothing like it was,my wife's fish was so hard it was difficult to get the knife through and when she did there was little or no white fish inside,mine had soggy batter but did have white inside,the chips were poor so we will not be going again it is a shame.

Visited a few times for a chippy takeaway lunch with my son, though we sit outside if we can. There is an indoor restaurant but I've not been in there for many many years, so I cant comment on that. Proper chips that aren't too greasy. Prices are reasonable. I'm very particular about how I like my chips and mushy peas and the staff cheerfully tolerate my awkwardness. They also provide a container of water for our dog, which is appreciated. Takeaway area is clean, but could do with a bit of updating however the great service more than makes up for that.

We have dined at this restaurant many times before, and the fish and chips are always delicious. The staff are very polite and we were pleased with the quality of the food on our most recent visit. Excellent!

During our first reunion visit to Worksop, we stumbled upon this restaurant. The staff was welcoming, the menu offered a wide range of options at reasonable prices. My Tuna and Sweetcorn Jacket Potato was delicious, although my cup of tea was a bit oversteeped for my taste. The service was quick, and I would definitely dine here again on my next trip to Worksop.
