Ken's Charcoal Pits - Batavia

I must say, this was by far the best restaurant experience we've had. From the outstanding customer service to the delicious food, everything was exceptional. Lucy, our primary waiter, was particularly delightful. Not only did she share the history of the restaurant, but she also explained how their oven-baked pizza came to be. It was such a pleasure to talk with her. Ann, the other waitress, was training and learned directly from us. She even gave us a little tour of the establishment and shared interesting details about the building’s history. It was truly fascinating, and I loved the concept behind the pizza. I can't wait to return! Thank you for such an amazing experience!

The Brisket Platter and Trash Plate were absolutely AMAZING! The atmosphere is a clean, modern rustic bar/restaurant, beautifully renovated with some really interesting decor. Overall, it’s a lovely place! I really want to give it a full 5 stars because the food is worthy of that and even more, but I can’t overlook the lackluster service from the waitress. I also didn’t receive a plate for the salad bar that was included with my meal, and we had to wait an hour and a half for our food, despite being the only people in the dining room—it was just my husband and I.

Ken's Charcoal Pits Bar-B-Q is a very pleasant date destination. The people they are very attentive and welcoming as soon as you enter. The food is delicious, fresh and quite expensive for those of us on a budget. The combined friendly staff and cozy din in the atmosphere creates an unforgettable time with family, friends or a date:

My husband and I held a date (we had a sitter, so it was just us both). We have always insisted this restaurant with hopes to stop one day and today was this day! This restaurant is all 5 stars and more, in my opinion! The food was AMAZING! It wasn't too expensive, and the atmosphere was exactly what parents needed on our date! The staff was super friendly, helpful and very curious!!! My husband had the Pitt plate that was really good. The Mac salad is perhaps the best we ever had. I had the Buffalo chicken sluice with fries and it was just perfection! I HIGHLY recommend to everyone to try this place!

Our server, Brooklyn, was fantastic. We visited for a dinner and movie promotion, but our time was limited—we only had 45 minutes before we needed to be at the theater. When we explained our situation to her, she offered an excellent suggestion to help us maximize our time. We quickly placed our order, and everything arrived in no time. I had the Buffalo chicken pizza, while my fiancé enjoyed the margarita pizza; both were delicious and served promptly. We had a wonderful meal and made it to our show on time. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, and we also tried the Buffalo chicken crunchers as an appetizer, which were very tasty.
